Track rollers, backup rollers and cam rollers
Ball bearing track rollers are self-retaining, single or double-row ball bearings with particularly thick-walled outer rings. In addition to high radial forces, these bearings can also support axial forces in both directions.
Yoke-type track rollers are single or double-row units mounted on shafts or studs. They comprise thick-walled outer rings with a profiled outside surface and needle roller and cage assemblies or full-complement rolling element sets.
Cam rollers are similar in their construction to single and double-row support rollers, except that the raceway is formed by a heavy-section roller stud with a fixing thread and lubrication hole.
Proven application areas for these products include cam mechanisms, guideways, conveying systems and linear guidance systems.
Track rollers
Ball bearing track rollers are self-retaining, single or double-row units with particularly thick-walled outer rings. In addition to high radial forces, these bearings can also support axial forces in both directions. The outer rings have a crowned or cylindrical outside surface. Designs with a crowned outside surface are used where they are inclined in relation to the mating track and edge stresses must be avoided. Track rollers are available with an inner ring, with a stud and with a plastic tire on the outer ring.
X-life
Various sizes are supplied in the X-life grade. These bearings are indicated in the dimension tables.
Stud-type track rollers
Stud-type track rollers have outer rings with a crowned outside surface, heavy-section roller studs and ball and cage assemblies with plastic cages. For ease of fitting, the roller stud has a thread or a threaded bore.
Backup rollers
Backup rollers are often used for transmitting high radial loads.
X-life PWTR backup rollers
X-life quality PWTR backup rollers from INA now boast an even greater level of performance:
- Up to 30% higher static and dynamic load carrying capacity due to optimized raceway geometry
- Higher permissible ring load by changing the material of the outer rings
- Improved outside surface quality by optimizing the surface structure
- Increased protection against corrosion due to Corrotect® coating

X-life – proven to be better
In these bearings, the raceways have optimized roughness and geometrical accuracy. This gives a higher load-carrying capacity and longer service life. X-life is the premium brand that identifies particularly high-performance products under the INA and FAG brands.
They are characterized by a longer rating and operating life – the result of higher dynamic load ratings than those of current standard products. If the load and design envelope are unchanged, X-life bearings have a longer rating life. Longer maintenance intervals are possible.
