  • Comprehensive portfolio of linear motion and Ewellix actuation solutions bolsters Schaeffler’s position in key industrial automation segments
  • New KLLT four-row linear recirculating ball bearing and guideway assemblies deliver robust design, smooth performance and uncompromising value
  • Ewellix CAHB electromechanical actuators represent the ideal replacement for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders

Under the theme “Engineered for Tomorrow’s Automation,” leading Motion Technology Company Schaeffler is exhibiting an expanded lineup of solutions for the industrial automation sector at the Automate 2025 trade show, which takes place May 12-15 at Detroit’s Huntington Place Convention Center.

A major focus of Schaeffler’s presence at Automate 2025 is its comprehensive portfolio of linear motion and Ewellix actuation solutions, which strengthens the Motion Technology Company’s position in key industry trends such as the replacement of hydraulic and pneumatic systems in industrial automation with more efficient, controllable and sustainable electromechanical alternatives.

“We are absolutely committed to becoming our customers’ preferred industrial automation partner by offering an expanded range of transformative linear motion products,” said Sean Feyrer, director of sales for industrial automation. “Our Ewellix modular actuator technologies help us accomplish this objective by enabling the development of even more tailored and innovative solutions for our customers. Moreover, our local manufacturing and engineering expertise provides our customers in the Americas with an invaluable measure of efficiency and peace of mind,” said Feyrer.

As part of its presentation at Automate 2025, Schaeffler will be showcasing innovations from four of the company’s eight Motion Families, including the KLLT and KUEM linear recirculating ball bearing and guideway assemblies that efficiently “guide motion”; Ewellix CASM and CAHB actuators that reliably “generate motion”; power-dense Ewellix roller screws that effectively “transmit motion”; and energy-efficient torque motors that precisely “drive motion.”

“I am especially excited to offer our Automate audience an exceptionally versatile solution for automation and handling systems that also happens to be particularly cost-effective: Schaeffler’s new KLLT four-row linear recirculating ball bearing and guideway assemblies,” said Ulrich (Uli) Mayr, vice president for industrial automation and linear guides. “By combining robust design with smooth performance and uncompromising value, our new KLLT series is another example of how Schaeffler’s expanded lineup of industrial automation solutions has been truly engineered for tomorrow's automation,” added Mayr.

KLLT Linear Recirculating Ball Bearing and Guideway Assembly
Featuring raceways and rolling elements in an X arrangement that offers uniform load distribution, load-carrying capacity and rigidity in all four main loading directions to compensate for misalignments, Schaeffler’s all-new KLLT linear recirculating ball bearing and guideway assemblies are versatile four-row monorail guidance systems designed for automation, assembly and handling applications. Engineered to meet the accuracy and rigidity requirements for the majority of industrial automation applications, the KLLT series combines easy installation, smooth running characteristics and reduced frictional resistance in a modular design that delivers long maintenance intervals (up to maintenance-free operation). Available in six metric sizes (15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 45 mm) and eight different carriage designs.

KUEM Miniature Linear Recirculating Ball Bearing and Guideway Assembly
Engineered for applications that require high speeds and uniform running behavior – including industrial automation technologies such as assembly and handling systems, as well as microelectronics, optical equipment, medical devices and textile machinery – Schaeffler's KUEM miniature linear recirculating ball bearing and guideway assemblies deliver high performance with minimal space requirements. Made from high-alloy premium steel to ensure corrosion resistance under normal conditions, the KUEM series is equipped with a lubricant reservoir for long-term lubrication. Available in four metric sizes (07, 09, 12 and 15 mm) and four different designs (standard, long, wide, and wide-long).

Ewellix CAHB Linear Actuators
The ideal electromechanical solution for replacing hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders in low- to medium-load, low-duty-cycle applications, Schaeffler’s family of Ewellix CAHB linear actuators are compact, robust and virtually maintenance free. Offering high load capacities ranging from 120 to 10,000 N and engineered to operate in severe environments, Ewellix CAHB actuators feature corrosion-resistant housings and metal gears, ensuring durability and reliability. Ideal for applications such as food packaging, automated guided vehicles, combine harvesters and vertical lifting platforms, Schaeffler’s Ewellix CAHB actuators provide exceptional performance that’s precise, smooth, oil free and energy efficient.

Ewellix Planetary Roller Screws
Designed to maximize the performance of electromechanical cylinders as well as joining, forming, and assembly equipment, Schaeffler’s lineup of Ewellix planetary roller screws offer high force density, exceptional robustness and – compared to other screw technologies – increased reliability and longer service life. The ultimate driving solution for very high duty applications, Schaeffler’s Ewellix roller screws are highly resistant to shock loads and frequent changes of direction. Available in a wide range of sizes and customizable designs.
