One-year post-merger with Vitesco Technologies, Schaeffler has successfully integrated the strengths of both organizations to advance its ecosystem-oriented approach, supporting all phases of a vehicle’s lifecycle. The company has expanded its VLS aftermarket product portfolio to include three fast-moving categories—e-water pumps, transmission control units, and nitrogen oxide (NOx) sensors—underscoring its commitment to innovation and providing high-performance, sustainable solutions for internal combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles.

“Schaeffler delivers integrated, innovative solutions across engines, transmissions, and electrification, helping our customers meet the evolving demands of all powertrains," Eric Steinbecher, president, Vehicle Lifetime Solutions Americas. "Our approach shapes the future of mobility while creating lasting value for the automotive ecosystem."

Driving an Ecosystem-Oriented Approach
As a continuation of its theme “Sustaining Motion. Pioneering Future.”, Schaeffler’s Vehicle Lifetime Solutions division provides high-turnover, market-relevant products, customer-focused services, and digital platforms such as REPXPERT that enable repair shops, distributors, and fleet operators to stay ahead of emerging vehicle technologies. Through REPXPERT, mechanics, installers, and distributors gain free access to instructional videos, product catalogs, diagnostic tools, training, and other technical resources to optimize daily operations. The company’s integration with Vitesco Technologies has strengthened its expertise in electrification, thermal management, and complex powertrain solutions, giving customers access to innovative tools built for the vehicles of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Engine, Thermal Management, and Transmission Solutions
Schaeffler’s Vehicle Lifetime Solutions division has spent the past year expanding its portfolio and advancing technologies that support internal combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles. This includes the company’s INA timing chain kits, timing belt kits, and accessory drive kits, as well as advanced thermal management modules and variable valve timing (VVT) components to ensure efficiency and long-lasting reliability. The company’s engineering expertise ensures precise synchronization and optimal thermal regulation across diverse powertrains, supporting reliable performance across all vehicle types. VLS remains committed to supporting internal combustion and hybrid vehicles, while continuing to expand its e-powertrain and thermal management solutions for the growing electrified vehicle market.

Torque Converters and Bearings
Schaeffler’s exhibit at AAPEX includes high-performance LuK brand torque converters under the TorCon line, the independent aftermarket’s only all-new, never-remanufactured torque converters that provide unmatched durability and reliability across leading transmission platforms. Schaeffler has manufactured more than 63 million torque converters to date, two thirds of which out of its Wooster, Ohio plant, thereby making it one of the largest manufacturers of this component in the automotive industry. And from its Bearings & Seals portfolio, the company is showing its award-winning TriFinity triple-row wheel bearings, iARC (Intelligent Active Roll Control), and RWS (Rear Wheel Steering) systems, delivering enhanced load capacity, precision, and long-term performance.

Electronics and E-Powertrain Solutions
Schaeffler’s integration of Vitesco Technologies has expanded the VLS division’s technological expertise and product portfolio to include electronics and electrical solutions for internal combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles. This includes significant expansion of its nitrogen oxide (NOx) sensors, which support emissions compliance, transmission control units (TCUs), and mass air flow (MAF) sensors.

At AAPEX, the company is showing its expanded e-powertrain offerings for hybrid and fully electric vehicles that include e-water pumps, REMPSYSTEM G and M, the Schaeffler eAxle, advanced electric motors, and EV thermal management solutions to enhance efficiency, performance, and battery range.
