Side by side vehicle demonstrator
Schaeffler’s side by side vehicle demonstrator showcases the company’s comprehensive expertise in electrification, featuring an integrated electric axle drive, advanced powertrain vehicle controls, charging interface management, and thermal management. Designed as a fully electric high-voltage platform operating at up to 400 volts, it represents the first high-performance side by side vehicle of its kind in the powersports market.

Battery components
Schaeffler integrates battery components into overall powertrain solutions, such as their 4-in-1 drive systems, which combine electric motors, transmissions, power electronics, and thermal management.
Next generation batteries
Schaeffler is developing next-generation batteries, primarily focusing on all-solid-state batteries (ASSBs), which promise higher energy density, faster charging, and increased safety compared to current lithium-ion batteries.
Electric drives
At Schaeffler, we develop our own SiC and GaN-based high voltage inverter modules for passenger and commercial vehicles, supported by a comprehensive internal software platform that manages all powertrain subfunctions and allows seamless integration of customer and partner software. Our portfolio also includes the externally excited synchronous machine (EESM) which is free of rare-earth minerals, reducing costs and supply chain risks while optimizing the CO₂ footprint. With a performance range from 15 kW to 300 kW, Schaeffler EESMs deliver high efficiency and power density, making them ideal for dynamic, high-speed applications. They feature scalable performance, rapid response to changing conditions, and fast safety concepts to minimize thermal stress and enhance operational safety.
Battery production solutions
Schaeffler Special Machinery has been developing and implementing customer-specific machines and systems for over 60 years. Innovative ideas, creative engineering and comprehensive production know-how set us apart and make us the preferred partner for individual production solutions.
