Our Group Engineer Program is designed for engineers looking to transition into a full-time position at Schaeffler. The two-year program is comprised of four six-month production-based rotations, which can be located at any of our facilities throughout North America.
Group Engineers undergo classroom as well as on-site training to learn about the products, systems and tools utilized at Schaeffler.
This training covers production management, quality, supply chain and leadership, to name a few areas. Our Group Engineers work with a seasoned professional engineering leader to develop best practices and evolve into a leader within Schaeffler. Specific goals, projects and responsibilities are identified at the beginning of each rotation, with a formal presentation given to management at the end.
The ideal candidate should hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, be a team player, demonstrate exceptional communication skills and possess strong competitive, goal-oriented and leadership qualities. Internship or other related experience is preferred. Oral and written proficiency in English is required; proficiency in German and/or Spanish is also considered a plus. In order to be considered, you must be willing to relocate to any one of our production locations in the United States, Mexico or Canada upon completion of your two-year training.
