Connectors between the railcar body and the bogie

Slewing rings in four-point contact bearing design are often used to connect railcar bodies and bogies in modern streetcars and subways. The installation points of these bearings are characterized by high contamination, long operating times and maintenance intervals, vibrations, high accident rates, high demands for reliability and difficult access.

INA slewing rings prove themselves under these difficult conditions because of:

  • effective seals with improved protection against steam jets
  • Corrotect® corrosion protection
  • preloaded raceway systems
  • preloaded raceway systems
  • special lubricating grease
  • long maintenance intervals

Various special designs, such as designs with additional covers and integrated, adjustable and re-adjustable roll dampers are currently in operation.
