Crushers are used to break ores or rock into more manageable sizes.
Often, crushers are installed directly in mines and quarries for breaking down overburden or ore for easier transport.
There are two types of jaw crushers: double- and single toggle jaw crushers. They are used as coarse and fine crushers.
The eccentric shaft with the flywheels is supported in the machine frame by high-capacity FAG spherical roller bearings. The swing jaw on the eccentric shaft is also supported by high-capacity FAG spherical roller bearings.
Gyratory crushers – so called because of their gyroscopic motions – operate continuously. The grinding stock is reduced in size by the crushing cone that gyrates at a defined angle to the vertical crusher axle. Gyratory crushers are designed for high throughputs.
The bearing arrangement consists of radial and axial cylindrical roller bearings or of radial and axial tapered roller bearings, most of them of special designs.
